Stephanie, Roland and their 2 young children live in a 1987 Oamaru Stone clad home high on Mt Pleasant. Their original aluminium joinery and single-glazing sealed poorly, regularly caused condensation to form during the cooler months and made the open-plan house very difficult and expensive to heat.

After having uPVC windows and doors fitted, the family now enjoy a draught-free, cosy home with a far greater sense of security. They invested in a Burg Wächter keyless entry system (model 5602) that provides access via PIN, smart phone and finger print. They no longer need to hide a spare key under the paua shell!

Stephanie says they selected NK Windows because of a number of very positive referrals, the superior security and opening configurations on offer, the local support and because of the high-quality German sourced components.

Stephanie sourced the screen-printed Tui entrance glass herself (manufactured in Christchurch) and it looks fantastic! Stephanie and Roland were very smart in that they reduced the number of openings in their home significantly. 3 original doors that were changed to Tilt & Turn doors now provide secure ventilation and less of a need for opening windows nearby.  They originally had 18+ opening windows and have reduced that to 8. This resulted in an obvious cost reduction but also larger panes of glass provide a more modern appearance and greater unobscured views.
