Malcolm & Jane live in a 1960s 3-bedroom redbrick house in Burnside, Christchurch. They completed the move away from original wooden frames and single glazing in early June 2017, after starting several years earlier.

Malcolm says their original joinery sealed poorly and they had to deal with condensation on the glass throughout the cooler months. Malcolm & Jane were surprised and ‘blown away’ by the noise insulation characteristics of their cream uPVC windows – “I simply felt that I was isolated from the rest of the world.” Secure ventilation and multi-point and multi-side locking of their Tilt & Turn windows and Tilt & Slide door make them feel safe and secure. The twin rubber seals, high performance uPVC frames and smart glazing choices make them feel warm and comfortable.

Jane says that their winter energy bills have remained about the same but instead of constantly heating just their living area, they now easily heat the entire house, so live in a healthier and more comfortable home. To people considering uPVC systems from NK Windows, Malcolm says “highly recommended getting it done - you won’t regret it!”
